Presently I’m working in a major construction company called Hyundai Development Company. In this huge company, I’m currently an accounting manager in the accounting team. The major role of my accounting team is to make the financial statements and make public statements for outside investors and executives. Our team discloses our financial statements quarterly, and to do that correctly, we settle the accounts every month. Since I am working in a team related to money, almost every team and construction site calls me to know how and what to do in certain situations.

My background in the DIS was quite helpful in that I got additional promotion points for having a high TOEIC score, and sometimes when I have to read any documents in English, it is more easy for me than other people struggling to looking up every word through the English-Korean dictionary. So every now and then, I receive a mission to translate English documents to Korean. Also, knowing how to use MS Excel is an important point when working in any company, because there is no company which does not use the spreadsheet program. So I strongly recommend becoming familiar with the spreadsheet program and all the functions of the Excel program.
