After graduating in 2009, I started working in a government-affiliated institute as a researcher. Soon after, I decided to pursue my career in international development and obtained a Master’s degree in the relevant field. Since 2012, I’ve been working in the International Organization for Migration (IOM), also known as the UN Migration Agency. As a Reporting Officer, I’m currently based in Gaziantep, Turkey, one of three UN hubs that respond to the Syrian Crisis. Covering all major humanitarian responses in the region, I’m responsible for producing donor reports and situation reports on Refugee Response, Cross-border Operations from Turkey to Syria, and the Mediterranean Response.
